Wine and music have been a traditional pairing since Ancient Greece, so it’s only natural to design a destination festival around the two. WillPower Entertainment has done just that with BottleRock Napa (May 9th-12th, 2013): a Napa-style music festival featuring a ton of big names like Kings of Leon, The Black Keys, Furthur (featuring Bob Weir and Phil Lesh of the Grateful Dead), Zac Brown Band, The Shins, and Cake. BottleRock will be held at Napa Expo Center, in the heart of downtown Napa. Gourmet food, wine, beer…and live music? Yes, please!
If you’ve heard about the 1976 “Judgement of Paris”, when Napa Valley challengers beat out their French counterparts in a blind wine tasting (or seen Bottle Shock), you know that Napa County is a food and wine lover’s heaven on earth. There will be no shortage of fine fare to eat and drink at BottleRock. Silver Oak, St. Supery, and Grgich are just a few of the wineries that will be there, alongside award-winning local restaurants and food vendors. Dionysus is drooling.
BottleRock is the newest destination festival to hit the Bay Area, joining fan favorites like Outside Lands and Treasure Island Music Festival. The Napa Expo Center is roughly an hour north of San Francisco (and SFO for those flying in), and the ideal location for a music festival.
