Nashville, aka Music City, has just been lapped by Marathon Music Works, a new venue in the Marathon Village neighborhood. The new venue is scheduled to open in mid-November, with tickets already on sale! What’s cool about this new spot is that the owners allowed the public to name it in the “Name Your Venue” contest. Love to see fans crowd-sourced! And they are happy that the name chosen highlights the historical nature of the area. The building once housed Marathon Motor Works, an automobile manufacturer, from 1914-1918.
In a town known for live music, Marathon Music Works has big shoes to fill. But by the looks of things they’ve got a good jump (pun intended) on things. The venue offers two bars, a VIP section and parking out back.
Plus they are already giving back to the community that helped name them. For the month of November, Marathon Music Works will be collecting items for the Nurses for Newborns charity at all shows and events. So you can help out a great cause and earn a chance to win a free pair of concert tickets. Check out their Facebook page for more information on items to donate.
