Rock the Bells, presented by Guerilla Union and Boost Mobile, returns to the birthplace of hip hop, the New York City metro area, October 4th and 5th, with a lineup full of MCs and DJs from the Golden Age of rap up to today’s cutting-edge artists. This year’s festival is breaking new ground by adding electronic DJs into the lineup (including Pretty Lights, who started out his career as a hip hop producer), and by premiering hologram performances by the late and great Eazy-E (of NWA) and Ol’ Dirty Bastard (of the Wu Tang Clan). Buy your tickets and peep the lineup below:

GA 2-DAY $150 or VIP 2-DAY $399

Action Bronson | Big Krit | Big Sean | Black Hippy featuring: Kendrick Lamar | Schoolboy Q | Ab-Soul | Jay Rock | Bodega Bamz | Bone Thugs N Harmony | Brother Ali | Chase and Status | Chief Keef | Common | Curren$y | Danny Brown | Dilated Peoples | Dizzy Wright | Dom Kennedy | Earl Sweatshirt | Flatbush Zombies | Freeway | Girl Talk | Hit Boy | Hopsin | Immortal Technique | J Cole | Jhene Aiko | Kid Cudi | LeCrae | Mimosa | Pretty Lights | Prof | Pusha T | Rakim | Rapsody & 9th Wonder | Ratking | Riff Raff | Sean P | Slick Rick & Doug E Fresh | Smoke DZA | Snow Tha Product | Supernatural | Tech N9ne | Tyler the Creator | Wale | Wu Tang Clan

2Pac must have been a hit at Coachella last year because hologram performances are here to stay. Sure, it’s just a bunch of pixels you’re watching, but if technology can temporarily resurrect dead MCs, we’re all for it. There’s something erie, yet awesome, about watching great performers who are no longer with us. Hopefully Jimi Hendrix and Janis Joplin holograms are in the works…

Rock the Bells will be held at the Meadowlands Racetrack in East Rutherford, NJ. Other Rock the Bells festivals will be taking place in LA, SF, and DC this fall. Check out the additional tour dates and information here.
