Back in December, we announced that the historic Cap Theatre in Port Chester, NY would be reopening as a Ticketfly partner, courtesy of our friend Pete Shapiro of the Brooklyn Bowl. After months of perfecting the lights, the sound and a stellar opening lineup of acts, The Cap goes on sale *this* Friday, August 10th. Once again, fans will fill the storied room that hosted Pink Floyd, Janis Joplin and The Grateful Dead.
“You can’t create a rock palace,” said Mr. Shapiro, 39. “You can only reinvent one, and I am fortunate to have one. This is a queen. This is not a princess. That means giving her the best sound available in the world.” (Check out the full article in Sunday’s NY Times).
What’s happening on opening night, you ask? We can’t wait to find out either. Follow @CapitolTheatre to stay in the know. I’m guessing it will be nothing short of huge.
