At Ticketfly, we’re pretty competitive — and not just about selling tickets. We have a quarterly ping pong tournament, a Halloween costume contest, and plans are in the works for the nastiest Ugly Sweater contest any holiday party has ever seen (not to mention an awesome band will be performing, but shhh — it’s a surprise). For Halloween, instead of bingeing on high fructose corn syrup, we kicked off a company-wide “Walk This Way” contest.
We gave the entire company Fitbits — a cool little pedometers you wear on your arm or belt to track your steps during the day — and will be tracking the team’s steps all month. When the clock strikes noon on November 30th, a winner (and winning team) will be revealed. Winners will be given tickets to the highly anticipated ’49ers v. Seahawks game, or the Warriors home game of their choice (I told you we like competitions!).
The competition is just starting to heat up. Team members from Marketing, Sales, and Finance are currently at the top of the leaderboard, but anything is possible. I’m personally fighting for those Warriors tickets (Go Curry!).
The “Walk This Way” Fitbit challenge is just one of many cool things we do at Ticketfly, but more importantly it’s pushing us to be fit and healthy employees. Healthy bodies = happier and more productive minds.
P.S.: If our Fitbit challenge sounds like fun, check out our careers page and join the team!
