Festival Spotlight: Grapes and GRAMMYs at the Napa Jazz Getaway

Need an escape to wine country? The 2nd annual Napa Jazz Getaway is right around the corner (June 5-9, 2013). Tickets to this wine and jazz festival, hosted by contemporary jazz star Brian Culbertson, are already selling out fast. VIP and silver packages are sold out, but gold packages and single event tickets are still available ($49 and up). Tickets sold out fast last year, so get your tickets while you can!

Performers this year include comedian Sinbad, GRAMMY award winners Take 6 and Ray Parker Jr., “BWB” (Rick Braun, Kirk Whalum & Norman Brown), and Larry Graham’s Graham Central Station, with performances by many more renowned jazz musicians. The main performances will be held at the Napa Valley Opera House and the Lincoln Theater. Other events will be hosted by Miner Family WineryChimney RockGargiulo Vineyards, and Cindy Pawlcyn’s Wood Grill and Wine Bar.

As if live jazz in wine country isn’t enough, there will also be a golf tournament at Silverado Resort, a silent auction benefitting the GRAMMY Foundation, and late night mingling at The Westin Verasa. San Francisco Bay Area’s R&B 102.9 FM KBLX has signed on as the official radio station.
