When it comes to music, Ticketfly employees don’t just talk the talk. We’re regularly at the front of the line for live shows in the cities where we live, have our fingers on the pulse when it comes to new music, and have diverse tastes that span a wide range of musical stylings. We love sharing our latest favorite tracks, so put on your headphones and enjoy our latest Now Playing playlist, and read more about the people behind the music below.

NPMikeName: Mike
Department: Customer Support
Now playing: “Nights In White Satin”The Moody Blues
Most Recent album purchase: Dark Side of
the Moon – 2011 Remastered edition.
Pink Floyd
Best concert ever: 30 Seconds to Mars and Linkin Park at Concord Pavillion, September 2014. Last date on their tour, Friday night, perfect weather, rocked out on the lawn drinking tallboys. Both bands were on top of their game and LP brought out pretty much their entire back catalogue. Amazing show.
Next upcoming show: No Joy and Vaniish at Bottom of the Hill

Favorite lyrics or random fact: I’m right-handed, but can only play the drums left-handed.

NPThomasName: Thomas
Department: Sales
Now playing: Claude Debussy, “Arabesques: No 1 in E minor”
Most recent album purchase:  Panda Bear Meets the Grim Reaper – Panda Bear. (I wanted the t-shirt, but the only way to get it was to purchase it with the album. No regrets.)
Best concert ever: This: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=nkKDHGsEcUI

NPAmelieName: Amelie
Department: Client Services
Now playing: “Supermoon” by S. Carey
Most recent album purchase: Whitehorse – Leave No Bridge Unburned.
Best concert ever: Hey Rosetta! at TURF last summer. Beautiful, warm July day, sitting under a tree with the best concert partner, and the sun was slowly setting behind the stage…
Next upcoming show: José González at the Phoenix in Toronto.

Favorite lyrics or random fact: Here’s an old favorite: “You gotta owe something sometimes / You gotta owe, boys / When you’re your momma’s sunshine / You’ve got to give something sometimes / When you’re the sweetest cherry / In an apple pie” – “In The Spring Time of His Voodoo” by Tori Amos

NPRurikName: Rurik

Now playing: Restorations, LP3
Most recent album purchase: The Gift by John Zorn
Best concert ever: Sun O))) at The Rialto in Tucson, AZ

“Bluebird of friendliness like guardian angels, it’s always near” – “Birdhouse In Your Soul” by They Might Be Giants.

NPYoliName: Yoli
Department: Marketing Services – Design and Development
Now playing: Atriarch’s “An Unending Pathway.” On loop. Obsessively.
Most recent album purchase: Boduf Songs, Stench of Exist.
Best concert ever: Being bathed in SunnO)))’s sonic droney goodness at the Southwest Terrorfest 2014. Their ritual performances are always mind-altering, but that particular show felt like the massive volume was causing quantum physics to come apart at the seams.
Next upcoming show: “Intergalactic Nemesis: Robot Planet Rising” (Think Garrison Keillor’s Guy Noir with alien sludge monsters).

Favorite lyrics or random fact:
“Life lies with the scissors inside her … the surgeon was a butcher …” – COIL

NPKimName: Kim

Now playing: “I Love You, Honeybear” by Father John Misty, “Nancy In London” by Nancy Sinatra, and a ton of jazz/jazztronica.
Most recent album purchase: Memory Work by VANIISH [Ed. Note: a Ticketfly band!]
Best concert ever: Probably the first run of GIVERS shows whenever they were playing small venues. It was always a crazy-awesome dance party with lots of friends around.
Next upcoming show: Rubblebucket @ The Independent in San Francisco
Favorite lyrics or random fact:
“cause i’m scared that there’s no answer / cause i’m scared there’s no truth / in this life of mine there is only time / the illusion of which is gone” – “On the Threshold of Eternity” by The Snake The Cross The Crown
