Department: Consumer Marketing
Now playing: Turn Into – Jay Som, When You Walk A Long Distance You Are Tired – Mothers, Psychopomp – Japanese Breakfast
Best concert experience: When I was a kid, if a band toured through San Francisco on a weekday then I couldn’t go see them. I wasn’t allowed to travel out to San Francisco on school nights. So even though The Blood Brothers were (and still are) one of my favorite bands—arguably my favorite—I never got to see them before they broke up in 2007. When I heard that they were playing a reunion show at FYF 2014 I immediately bought a ticket. I stayed at their stage all day to make sure I’d be in front. They played and I got beaten up, spit on, soaked in sweat (of others, mostly), and a blown out voice from screaming all the lyrics. It was everything I wanted it to be and more. Now when I die my spooky ghost will have no unfinished business and I will peacefully transcend into nothingness—or something.
Next upcoming concert in August or beyond: On August 30th I’m co-presenting a show at Bottom of the Hill with Creative Adult, Happy Diving, and Plush. That’s going to be wild. I also just bought a ticket to see Thee Oh Sees again. Those are the only two shows I know I’m going to, but I’m sure there will be more.
Most recent album purchase: Turn Into – Jay Som
Favorite Lyrics: I have Bowie lyrics tattooed on me, “I’m happy / hope you’re happy, too.”
Random fact: I have a chili pepper on Ratemyprofessor.com.

NPMikeName: Paige
Department: Design and Development Services
Now playing: Jump Off The Roof by Vince Staples feat. Snoh Aalegra, Malibu – Anderson Paak, Life of Pablo – Kanye West
Best concert experience: Seeing Anthony Green solo a few years ago. He has the best stage presence of any performer I’ve ever seen. It felt so personal, so interactive. He brought out a bunch of people from his other bands, Circa Survive and Sound of Animals Fighting. It was epic.
Next upcoming concert in August or beyond: Outside Lands!, Ziggy Marley and Steel Pulse (my dad loves reggae).
Most recent album purchase: A vinyl of Toro y Moi – Anything in Return
Favorite Lyrics: “I feel Uma Thurman post overdose and kick start” Avant Gardener by Courtney Barnett
Random fact: I went to Berlin 4 times in a span of 18 months. I want to live there one day.

NPEmilyName: Kelley
Department: Product Training
Now playing: Kendrick Lamar – “The Blacker the Berry”
Best concert experience: The one that stands out lately is At the Drive In at The Warfield in June ’16, after seeing their lackluster Coachella performance in 2012, I was hesitant to see the last tour but they truly brought it and blew my mind.
Next upcoming concert in August or beyond: No one wants to tour New Orleans in August, with good reason. I will be seeing Beyonce in September though!
Most recent album purchase: case/lang/veirs
Random Fact: My first ever concert was Fats Domino at Spanish Plaza in New Orleans. I was 5 and spent most of the time cooling off in a fountain. I still remember the glow of the stage, Fats at his piano, and how my grandmother lit up when he played “Blueberry Hill.”

Now playing: Radioactivity – Radioactivity
Best concert experience: H20/Cor-Mags
Next upcoming concert in August or beyond: Probably a Morrissey show…
Most recent album purchase: The Marked Men – Fix My Brain
Favorite Lyrics: “But the loneliness of our togetherness, creates an empty nest, for the emptiness freezing in this chest.”
