Situated in the South Williamsburg enclave of Brooklyn, Glasslands Gallery is a 300 capacity, general admission venue housed in a converted warehouse near the East River. From its humble beginnings as a DIY community art space in 2006, Glasslands has slowly transformed itself into one of New York’s premiere locations to see emerging music of all genres.
Ticketfly’s Marketing Services department has revamped the Glasslands website to better match their status as one of the coolest venues in NYC. It’s like early spring cleaning; out with the old, in with the new. According to Glasslands:
We’re shutting down the little engine that could: the Glasslands blogspot – it’s just time to move on dude. Feels kinda like a Digimon evolution. And wouldn’t you know it, this brand spanking new site coincidentally sprouted up just in time.
Internationally renowned independent acts such as MGMT, Yeasayer, The Yeah Yeah Yeahs, Vampire Weekend, CocoRosie, Suckers, Passion Pit, and Bon Iver have all performed at Glasslands, as well as rising newcomers like The Antlers, Alt-J, Icona Pop, Disclosure, and SBTRKT. Some exciting shows to come include Com Truise, Wavves, Clinic, and Javelin. Check out the full concert calendar here.
