The stage at Horseshoe Tavern
Our ‘fly fam is always working hard to create unforgettable experiences for fans. Their dedication is a constant inspiration to us, so it’s especially thrilling when their efforts are recognized by our industry. And that’s exactly what went down this past week when a bunch of our own promoter, venue, and festival partners from up north took home much-deserved awards at two awards ceremonies during Canadian Music Week in Toronto. Celebrating 35 years in 2017, Canadian Music Week is Canada’s most respected music industry conference with multiple events including two festivals spanning five nights with more than 800 artists playing 40 venues.
At the second annual Live Music Industry Awards, the best of the live music business sector were honored and Ticketfly partners were well represented. Fource Entertainment Canada’s Paula Perri was named ‘Festival Buyer of the Year.’ Our pals at Toronto’s own legendary Horseshoe Tavern were recognized for ‘Best Teamwork in a Medium Club.’ Toronto Urban Roots Festival was awarded ‘Medium Festival of the Year,’ and Rifflandia took home the ‘Small Festival of the Year’ prize. In addition, at the Canadian Broadcast and Music Industry Awards, Vancouver’s Vogue Theatre won for ‘Best Performing Arts Centre.’
We couldn’t be more proud of our Canadian ‘fly fam. Congratulations and thanks for making us look so good!
