Ticketfly Takes a Leading Role in L.A.

Sep. 12, 2012

As a San Francisco-based company, it was only natural for Ticketfly to head south to our California neighbors in the entertainment capital of the world. We set up shop in the Los Angeles area right away, and soon after began partnering with some of the best promoters and venues in the region. In the past 18 months, Ticketfly has inked agreements with more than 30 new clients in Southern California, representing a 400 percent increase in our overall customer base in the area, and further bolstering Ticketfly’s position in the market.

Our roster of partners in Southern California represents many of the premier live music promoters in town, including The Troubadour, Echo/Echoplex and Spaceland Presents, FYF Presents, Hollywood Forever, Guerilla Union, Bootleg Theater and The Fold, The Satellite, Chain Reaction, and The Glass House.

But it’s not just rock promoters who are looking for a change! A number of other L.A. venues and promoters, in various industries, have switched to Ticketfly.

  • Exchange L.A. and Monday Night Social join our growing roster of EDM clients.
  • The Original Renaissance Pleasure Faire tapped Ticketfly to handle online ticket sales after 50 years of operation, and FYF Fest, held every year in downtown L.A. and wrapped just two weeks ago, also partnered with Ticketfly for ticketing, marketing and on-site operations.
  • Village Voice Media partners with Ticketfly for arts and theatre events nationally, including LA Weekly’s 33rd Annual Theater Awards at Avalon Hollywood. Cinespia Presents, which screens films at Hollywood Forever Cemetery, Point Break Live! in Hollywood and Center for the Arts, Eagle Rock have all made the switch to Ticketfly. (We’re especially excited about the Point Break Live! addition. “You’re sayin’ the FBI’s gonna pay me to learn to surf?”)
  • In the sports arena, The Los Angeles Blues Soccer Club recently turned to Ticketfly to implement their first-ever online ticketing solution.

“Once the local community got wind of what we could offer, we saw a domino effect of promoters looking for a more progressive provider. We’re thrilled with the market response and appetite for change and we look forward to continuing to establish deep roots in the L.A. area.” – Gannon Hall, Ticketfly CMO

The whole Ticketfly team echoes Gannon’s excitement about the momentum in Southern California and look forward to keeping the train moving! (Even if we San Franciscans never get our actual high-speed railway to Los Angeles.)
