Every once in a while at Ticketfly, we check out our sales reports, see a one-ticket purchase, and let out a collective “awwww” for the email@example.com dude going to see Mastodon alone. Ticketfly is excited to announce that we’re launching the latest version of our Facebook app that fans can add to their Facebook Timeline to help them discover and share Ticketfly events.
Back in September at the F8 conference, Facebook included us in their list of innovative companies who would be developing apps for Timeline that encourage users to express their interests and share easily with their friends. With the latest version of Ticketfly Facebook Purchase, initially launched in December 2011, fans can now purchase tickets from within Facebook, as well as Share and Like the artists they’re excited to see, and RSVP to the event. Connect online, rock out offline!
For promoters, this means that fans will not only help you sell tickets, but they will increase awareness for your brand, venue and booked artists online. Event links on your fans’ Timelines means more traffic to your Facebook Purchase process and more fans as the event spreads throughout Sludge’s social circles. Can anyone say…free promotion?
